KEADILAN will hold a gathering at Jalan Satok tomorrow (Aug 11) with de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and former Deputy Minister of Housing and Local Government Datuk Seri Lajim Ukim as the main speakers.

Anwar and Lajim will hold a dialogue with state Pakatan Rakyat (PR) leaders and invited non-governmental organisation (NGO) leaders according to a press statement yesterday.

They will also attend a ‘buka puasa’ meal at KEADILAN state advisor Datuk Hafsah Harun’s residence prior to the Jalan Satok event.

Lajim is Beaufort Member of Parliament and lost his deputy minister’s post when he quit Umno on July 18.

Tuaran Member of Parliament Datuk Wilfred Bumburing, former United Pasokmomogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation (Upko) deputy president, also left Barisan Nasional (BN).

In the statement, KEADILAN state vice-chairman See Chee How said the duo’s support for PR means the opposition fronts slowly but surely gaining ground in the two East Malaysian states.

Besides proving that Sabah and Sarawak are no longer the ‘fixed deposit’ states for BN, it is the popular sentiment of Sabahans and Sarawakians to play a crucial role to elect PR as the federal government
in the coming general election,he added.
