Kota Kinabalu: A Toyota Alphard belonging to Kunak Assemblyman Datuk Nilwan Kabang was stolen from his house in Luyang at dawn, Friday.
He lost over RM200,000 including losing some jewellery and coins belonging to his wife and children in the 3am incident.
Nilwan's wife said her neighbour called her the same day on seeing the house gate wide open because the neighbour knew that Nilwan, their children and in-laws left for Kunak by road at 2pm on Aug. 25.
"My neighbour also told me that one of our vehicles was missing .
A Mazda was still inside our compound except for the Toyota Alphard.
"I immediately flew back at 7am, Friday, while my husband stayed in Kunak to attend a function," she told Daily Express.
She said the robbers broke into her house through a sliding window by damaging the lock and stole some jewellery and coins.
She lodged a police report.-DE-
