A group of Democratic Action Party (DAP) youth chased a snatch thief into monsoon drain and made citizen arrest at 10pm on Wednesday.
The incident unfolded when the victim was about to get out of her car upon reaching Travilion.
The suspect who was riding pillion on a motorcycle grabbed her bag and ran.
The victim shouted prompted the civic conscious DAP youths to gave chase.
The accomplice who sensed that things was not right accelerated and left his friend behind.
His friend then stumbled into the drain and was caught.
The victim got her handbag returned while the snatcher was hauled from the drain and handed over to the police.
